- The contest is organized by Željko Markota, Zagreb, Croatia (hereinafter: the Organizer).
- Submissions will be accepted from TBA to TBA 2024.
- The submission fee of $7 is non-refundable.
- The best essay writer will receive a prize that will range from $1,000 to $5,000.
- The best essay evaluator will receive a prize that will range from $500 to $2,500.
- The prizes will be paid by the Organizer via bank transfer or other method within 30 days of announcing the winners.
- Only winners will be responsible for any fees, taxes, or other costs associated with receiving the prize, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- The essay must be an unpublished work by a single author.
- Unlimited essay submissions allowed, with unique account for each essay.
- The anonymity of the essayist is important in the evaluation process. Therefore, the essay author is required to ensure that their identity is not revealed in any way. Otherwise, the essay will be disqualified.
- Essays will be anonymized during the evaluation phase, each under a unique code.
- Essays will be submitted via the Contest's webpage.
- Submissions via email will NOT be accepted.
- To ensure compliance, the essay must have between 420 and 500 words. Failure to adhere to the specified character count will result in disqualification.
- The AI generated essay evaluations and summaries are final and not subject to objections or appeals.
- Each participant retains the right to further publish only their own essay after the announcement of the winners, but the Organizer has the unlimited right to use and further publish all essays and evaluation comments and evaluation ratings without compensation to anyone.
- The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the Contest's rules or fails to comply with the terms and conditions of the Contest.
- Part of the essay evaluation is also the "PScore", which is based on AI assessment of the essay's alignment with the works of philosophers. We considered several moral philosophers such as John Stuart Mill, Friedrich Nietzsche, Aristotle, Jean-Paul Sartre, Judith Jarvis Thomson, but ultimately, we opted for Immanuel Kant.
- The Organizer reserves the right to modify the rules of the contest in case of unforeseen circumstances or for the better conduct of the contest.
- All complaints or disputes will be resolved based solely on a decision by the Organizer.
